My name is Francisco and I'm an atomic physicist.
Update (summer 2021) - I have joined the OHMS group of the T&F Dept. at FEMTO-ST to work on building a super-radiant Yb laser.

A little about me
My background is in experimental physics, particularly in atomic, molecular & optical physics and working with atoms and lasers.
During my PhD at the Quantum Light & Matter group (Durham, United Kingdom) I also worked with some large magnets, carrying out studies of magneto-optical phenomena in thermal vapours of rubidium.
I am currently working as a post-doctoral researcher in the OHMS group of the Time & Frequency department of FEMTO-ST (Besançon, France). Our goal is to build a super-radiant laser using ytterbium atoms, with mid-/long-term applications to improving optical clock stability and footprint.
